A specialist range of single phase thyristor controllers with fieldbus communications. These controllers operate in phase angle or soft start burst fire modes and have current ratings from 80A to 250A.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This range of thyristor controllers is primarily aimed at smaller furnaces with transformer coupled heating elements. The controllers accept an analogue control signal (0-5V, 4-20mA etc) and operate in phase angle or soft start burst fire modes. Like our STC3000 3-phase series they have closed loop control of load voltage squared or power, and current limit facilities.

To make best use of these controllers the communications facilities should be used. A number of different fieldbuses are supported (see manual) which enable the setpoints to be transmitted to the controller digitally and operating status, voltages, current, power, energy etc. to be monitored. Communications also allow a more flexible set up.
